Real Ownership in Healing Futures — Internship or Volunteer.

This opportunity is built for someone who genuinely cares about this work — meeting families before crisis takes hold — not a line on a resume. Whether you're applying for a paid internship track or signing up to volunteer, there's a real place for you at More Than Foundation.

Two Ways to Get Involved

Paid Internship — Real Event Ownership
Full planning and day-of coordination for one real Healing Futures event — not a support role, real ownership from planning through execution, with direct backup from MTF executive leadership every step of the way.

Stabilize Track — Ages 16+ — Coordinate a Family Stabilization Kit distribution event.
Heal Track — Ages 18+ — Coordinate a full Mental Health First Aid certification day.

Every intern receives a paid stipend, free Mental Health First Aid certification, and a letter of recommendation from MTF's Executive Leadership and Board of Directors.

Volunteer — Unpaid, Flexible
Ages 16+. Support Healing Futures on your own schedule across Heal (MHFA event support), Stabilize (kit packing & distribution), or Equip (Equip event support) — no single-event ownership required. Includes free Mental Health First Aid certification regardless of role.

Who This Is For

Does not need to be a college graduate or currently enrolled — the goal is real experience before entering the workforce, not after. Based in one of MTF's 13 active Florida service counties: Leon, Alachua, Hillsborough, Duval, Brevard, Volusia, Orange, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Indian River, St. Lucie, or Martin.

How This Works

You'll be matched to a specific Healing Futures event based on your track and location. MTF hosts Stabilize events every month and Heal events several times a year across our service counties — this is real, ongoing opportunity, not a one-time placement.
